Big Belly Burger Peanutblaster Cookies | DC Universe Online

B's all-time favorite video game is "DC Universe Online", an MMORPG based on DC Comics' plethora of heroes, villains, and story lines, with a few locales thrown in. B got the life-time subscription back in Jan. of 2011 and has been enjoying the heck out of the game ever since (even though now it's free, but he gets perks and such for being around since the beginning and got the value of his moola way back when anyway).
Aside from completing big missions with the superhero or villain character you create, there are a bunch of other things you can do, like gathering pieces from special collections (denoted by yellow question marks in the game) to get unique outfit parts called style items (the idea being you get all of the style items for one theme and you end up with a complete outfit). One of the collections you can tackle, called "Big Belly Burger Time", has your character looking around Gotham for cookies from the the DC Universe-wide fast food chain "Big Belly Burger" (if you watch CW's "Arrow" you're familiar with BBB). There are five cookies to find, one of which is called the "Peanutblaster". Dude, a cookie with the word "blaster" in it, I couldn't pass it up. And B can't get enough of these things–very fitting that they come from his favorite game!

Big Belly Burger Peanutblaster Cookies

Ingredients:
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Large Egg
1/2 Cup Reese's Peanut Butter Chips (like, chocolate chips, but peanut butter)
1/2 Cup Roasted Peanuts, finely chopped (I used one of those slap chop-type things)

Important Items:
Parchment Paper
Small Letter 'B' Cookie Cutter (optional)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF & line a baking tray with parchment paper. In a medium bowl stir together all of the ingredients until well combined. Roll the dough into palm-sized balls & then flatten to about 1/2" thickness & place on the tray at least 1" apart. I made pretty big cookies (you know, like the ones you get at Subway & other places) & got 6-7 but you can make them a little smaller and get like, 9. Press the cookie tops with a fork for the typical peanut butter cookie pattern or press 3 'B's into the tops with a letter 'B' cookie cutter to denote "Big Belly Burger" (optional). Bake for about 15 mins or until the bottom edges are just beginning to brown. Let cool for a minute & then carefully lift the parchment paper, with the cookies still on it, to a cooling rack or towel on the counter to cool completely. Enjoy & have a belly busting day!

(Yes, that's a "Scribblenauts Unmasked" Superman figure. Different game, but he's so cute!)

* Stay tuned for more "Big Belly Burger" goodness! *
