2015 Recipe Round-Up & Year in Review

Whew! It's the end of another year – crazy! This time last year we were just settling into our new home on the East Coast after driving across the country from California. Smalls started kindergarten this year as well as Tae Kwon Do, and I started a "Geek Moms' Club" in my little community and joined a really fun book club. Concerning books, I started using little sticky tabs to mark where food is mentioned, and it's really cool to see some books just fill up with fringe! I spent about a week in a fantastic time-crunch a couple months ago creating recipes to submit for a cookbook for a cartoon series. Fingers and toes crossed that at least one of the many recipes I made gets chosen! I've also been doing the "Fiction Kitchen Podcast" twice a month with my co-host Carrie and we semi-recently celebrated out one-year anniversary! Woo! I also finally joined Instagram and love it. Square pictures are so pleasing.

I've been looking back over my fandom food archive for 2015 and discovered that I've made a whopping 112 different fandom foods! @_@ whoa. (Actually a little more, but not all is posted yet...) That's a lot of brainstorming, experimenting, trial and error, moola, photographing, blogging, and eating!

As I mentioned, I'm on Instagram now, and some of you may know that I can also be found on Tumblr (as well as Twitter and a little bit on Facebook). Often, in order to reduce saturating the blog with more than one post a week and so as not to load up the inboxes of the mailing list subscribers, I'll post some of my recipes on Tumblr and Instagram. Some are in-depth recipes and others are more akin to "how-tos". There are also recipes I've made for the podcast. All of these recipes are compiled on the "Archive" page plus listed under the corresponding headings on the "books", "film", and "games" pages, but I wonder if sometimes those recipes that aren't contained here in the weekly blog posts get overlooked.

This post is a year-in-review round-up of my 2015 recipes that are found in their fullness on my Tumbler, Instagram, or on the "Fiction Kitchen Podcast" website. It'll be like a little parade! and their names will now be here on the blog so they'll be searchable ;). Also included below are links to little photo shoots I've done of foods mentioned in fiction, usually accompanied by a corresponding quote. These aren't included in the archive so I thought I'd show them a little love by putting them on this list :). There's also a Valentine download and one instance of something akin to short fan fiction ;).
